Youth League Match Report: AC Milan 0-0 Liverpool

A closely fought contest between two of Europe's most promising young teams ended in a goalless draw at the San Siro.

Liverpool started the brighter of the two sides and created a number of chances in the opening stages, but they were unable to find a way past a resolute Milan defence.

The hosts grew into the game as the half wore on and had their own chances to take the lead, but they too were unable to find a breakthrough.

The second half was a more even affair, with both sides having chances to win the game.

Milan came closest to breaking the deadlock when Lorenzo Colombo hit the post with a header, but Liverpool held on for a valuable point.

The result leaves Liverpool top of Group B, while Milan are now second, two points behind.

Both teams will now turn their attention to their next Youth League fixtures, with Liverpool hosting Genk and Milan travelling to face Porto.
