Cows Rescued by Jet Ski From British Columbia Storm Floods
190,000 BC Hydro Customers Without Power
Significant Delays for Railways and Trucks in Canadian Port City
Environment Canada is advising people in the northern part of Vancouver Island and the central coast to be prepared for more flooding as a result of heavy rain. More than 190,000 BC Hydro customers are without power after the storm hit the province. Significant delays are being reported for railways and trucks using the Canadian port city of Vancouver.
In a remarkable rescue operation, cows were rescued by jet ski from floodwaters in British Columbia. The cows were stranded on a small island after heavy rains caused the Nechako River to overflow its banks. A group of volunteers used jet skis to reach the cows and bring them to safety.
